How to Access the Feature
Customize Social Share Content Modal

Share Cart’s Social Sharing feature lets us add and customize content for social shares. We can add custom texts, descriptions, titles, hashtags, images, and so on for different social networks. These custom contents are shared with the cart link whenever customers share their cart with friends through social platforms.

This one-of-a-kind feature helps us stand out from the crowd and draw more customers to our business. We can add simple greetings or write about our ongoing offers, upcoming events, or contests we plan to launch. Moreover, we can include hashtags to highlight our store and its products and attract customers to a certain niche.

Note

Share Cart offers different content customization options for each social sharing platform.

How to Access the Feature

To access the Social Sharing option and to customize content for it, we have to follow the steps listed below:

Step 1: In the Share Cart Dashboard, we have to go to Display Settings > Social Sharing and click the drop-down menu.

Step 2: Once we're there, we have to turn on the Social Sharing toggle and click on Customize Content.

This is going to open up the Customize Social Share Content modal.

Step 3: In this modal, first, we have to select the social platform for which we want to customize the content. Then we have to enter custom content in the dedicated input fields for each platform.

Lastly, we have to click the Save Now button to confirm our changes.

Note:

To add a link to our cart in the custom content, we have to use the tag: *|SHARE_LINK|*.

For instance, in the following example, we have added the tag *|SHARE_LINK|* at the end of the message, “Check out this cart I built:” to include the cart link.

The following settings are available in the Customize Social Share Content modal:

From this drop-down, we can select the desired social platform from a list of options for which we want to add custom content. In Share Cart, the following social sharing options are available for content customization:

Facebook Sharing: Let us add a hashtag for Facebook as custom content.

Twitter Sharing: Let us add a hashtag and a text for Twitter.

Tumblr Sharing: Let us add a title and content for Tumblr.

Pinterest Sharing: Let us add a description, pin an image or upload a custom image from our device for Pinterest.

Note:

The Pin Image option is enabled by default which automatically generates a photo collage showcasing the products added to the cart.

To upload a custom image, we have to unselect the Pin Image option and click Choose File to upload from our device.
